A BILL to amend and reenact section two, article one-a, chapter
five-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to adding
additional members to the employee suggestion award board.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section two, article one-a, chapter five-a of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1A. EMPLOYEE SUGGESTION AWARD BOARD.
ยง5A-1A-2. Board created; term of members.
There is hereby continued an employee suggestion award board
which shall be composed of the commissioner of the bureau of
employment programs or his or her designee, the secretary of the
department of education and the arts or his or her designee, the
secretary of administration or his or her designee, the secretary
of the department of commerce, labor and environmental resources
commissioner of the bureau of commerce or his or her designee, the president of the Senate or his or her designee, the speaker
of the House of Delegates or his or her designee, one member of
the House of Delegates to be appointed by the speaker of the
House of Delegates, one member of the Senate to be appointed by
the president of the Senate, and the secretary of the department
of health and human resources or his or her designee. The terms
of the members of the board shall be consistent with the terms of
the offices to which they have been elected or appointed.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to add the commissioner
of employment security and the secretary of education and the
arts as members of the employee suggestion award board.
